While the 2020 hurricane season is predicted to be above average, communities across the southeastern U.S. will be preparing in the midst of a pandemic. On August 6, 2020 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Eastern, the Southeastern Coastal Center for Agricultural Health and Safety will host a webinar to help residents prepare and respond to potential upcoming storms as cases of COVID-19 cause concern for public health. Jeff Lindsey, a retired fire chief who has been an emergency responder and incident commander for a number of hurricanes, will provide guidance to rural and urban communities on preparation and recovery operations.
