Fighting Coronavirus with Corona Discharge

March 31, 2021

Join the Southeastern Coastal Center for Agricultural Health and Safety on March 31 at 1 p.m. Eastern for this webinar as Dr. Sarah (Ying) Zhong covers a new disinfection technology that can efficiently and rapidly sterilized N95 masks to help resolve the massive PPE shortage problem upon outbreaks of public health emergencies. This technology works by simultaneously deactivating pathogens on N95 masks and restoring their electrostatic charges. The filtration efficiency of N95s were kept ~95% after up to 10 times of treatment. The physical and biological disinfection mechanism will be discussed. Portable and affordable mask and surface disinfection devices are expected to benefit the society.
