Rurality, Social Networks and Mental Well-being in Rural Latinos

June 18, 2020

When understanding the mental well-being of any community, it is vital to form a partnership based on trust and respect. That is exactly the way Dr. Jeanne-Marie Stacciarini approached her research to determine how rurality and social networks act as social health determinants in rural Latinos. Stacciarini used community-based participatory research to learn more about the factors influencing the mental well-being of mothers, families, members of faith-based organizations and others in rural Latino communities. This webinar will present research findings on the depressive symptoms, stress and self-esteem and culturally sensitive treatment strategies for the rural Latino Population.

On June 18th, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Eastern, we invite you to join us for a SCCAHS webinar as Stacciarini shares more about her research on rurality, social networks and mental well-being in rural Latinos.
