The Southeastern Center for Agricultural Health and Safety releases its 2016-2017 annual report, outlining the goals of the center, research projects, program outreach, and program evaluation.

In the first year of the center, three research projects were launched and two programs were established to stimulate research relevant to agricultural health and safety. The Southeastern Center for Agricultural Health and Safety awarded more than $56,000 to three pilot projects in the center’s first year.

The Outreach Core made strides to increase the visibility of the center and its research output. Contributions from the Outreach Core included informing stakeholder organizations and individuals, developing education materials, and coordinating the Community Stakeholder Advisory Board.

The Evaluation Program has worked to engage stakeholders and collect relevant evaluation data. Through monitoring and interpreting evaluation data, the Evaluation Program is helping determine the impact of the center as a whole.
